Photo/video Consent Agreement. By registering to the Chess Cardinals tournaments, participants, caregivers & parents grant full permission to Chess Cardinals to use photographs, video- and/or audio-recordings of them, and/or their children, taken during Chess Cardinals events in publications, news releases, online, and in other communications related to the mission of Chess Cardinals. To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will not be identified using personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject, parent or legal guardian. A person attending Chess Cardinals event who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the organizer in writing of his/her intentions and include a photograph. Chess Cardinals will use the photo for identification purposes and will hold it in confidence. No registrants and/or participants are entitled to compensation for their appearance in such materials. By registering, you also grant Chess Cardinals and US Chess Federation the right to lawfully use the photos on its website, social media sites, e-newsletters, and other public media which such use shall be considered commercial use for promotion and advertising. You also release Chess Cardinals and US Chess Federation from any claims related to the use of the photos, recordings, or interviews, including claims of libel or invasion of privacy. You understand that Chess Cardinals retains ownership of the materials and may use them now or in the future for the purposes mentioned above. All registrants and participants release and discharge Chess Cardinals from all liability, losses, and damages for libel, slander, invasion of privacy or any other claim arising out of or relating to the use of videotapes, recordings and/or photograph.
